SMALL STEPS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE CAMPAIGN

Lite Foot Company's new brick & mortar storefront will be located at 2400 Bull Street in Savannah, GA.

Lite Foot Company, Georgia’s first refillery, launches the SMALL STEPS Make a Big Difference Campaign on November 17, 2022 to support the opening of its new brick and mortar location in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District. Local businesses and residents can contribute to the opening by sponsoring the naming rights for several sustainable products, refillery stations or by purchasing sections of a one-of-a-kind mural, designed by local artist Julia McGahee.

This stunning mural, designed by Savannah-based artist Julia McGahee, will be featured in the storefront and showcase the names and logos of local supporters to the Small Steps Campaign.

As many of our readers know, Lite Foot Company is an environmentally-friendly home goods store and mobile refillery that was founded in January 2021. The company is on a mission to make sustainability simple for all its customers by offering plastic-free and refillable alternatives for popular cleaning and hygiene products.

I curate items that are not only meant to last, but also follow environmentally conscious production and delivery methods.
— Katie Rodgers-Hubbard, owner of Lite Foot Company

Since its founding nearly two years ago, the business has helped divert thousands of single-use items and plastic products from landfills, including:

  • 2.1 million dryer sheets

  • 525,251 plastic bags

  • 206,400 cotton swabs

  • 96,105 food and drinkware, which includes straws, disposable cups, water bottles, cutlery, bowls

  • 36,320 menstrual care products

  • 18,798 paper towel rolls

  • 5,451 general plastic items

  • 4,643 water bottles

  • 2,136 sponges

  • 250 rolls of wrapping paper

Now, Lite Foot Company hopes to increase its impact with a new brick and mortar store located at 2400 Bull Street in Savannah. The SMALL STEPS Campaign will allow Lite Foot to continue serving the Savannah community and surrounding areas with an expanded inventory of quality, eco-friendly products while providing additional services and resources. The storefront location plans to host clothing swaps and green-themed workshops, offer a space for clothing alterations and repairs, host package-free markets with other local vendors, and establish a take-back program with partnering small businesses to clean and sanitize reusable products.

Sponsorship Options:

  • Small Steps contributors can sponsor LFC Refillery Stations featuring their names and/or business logos.

  • Another option for sponsorship is to contribute to the Lite Foot mural, which will feature names of donors.

  • Small Steps contributors can sponsor popular LFC products with their names and/or business logos.

Campaign contributors have several options for sponsorship at price points that vary between $75-$5,000. Mural patrons will be memorialized with a plaque featuring their name and/or business logo on their section of the painting, a digital file of the mural and recognition on Lite Foot’s Website and social media platforms. Product and refillery station sponsors will have their name and/or business logo listed on the product label at the store for three years, a potential discount on the product, depending on the donation, and a printed certificate denoting their contribution. All donors will receive VIP access to the Grand Opening of Lite Foot Company’s storefront, tentatively scheduled for March 2023.

“If you want to see more eco-friendly initiatives in Savannah, or if you just want a greater opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint no matter where you live, please consider donating to this campaign,” said Katie.
