Earth Day Savannah 2025: Celebrating 25 Years of Environmental Impact

Earth Day Savannah is an annual event that celebrates environmental sustainability and conservation efforts in our community. Individuals, organizations, and businesses come together to protect the planet and promote eco-friendly practices. This year’s theme, “25 Years of Earth Day Savannah,” honors a quarter-century of community-driven environmental action and progress in the Coastal Empire.

As we mark this milestone, our goal is not only to celebrate but to inspire lasting change. We believe environmental consciousness should extend beyond a single day, becoming part of the fabric of everyday life. By encouraging everyone to embrace eco-friendly practices daily, we strive to cultivate a collective mindset of sustainability—where every small, mindful choice contributes to a greener future.

What to Expect in 2025:

Activities & Experiences:

  • Educational and interactive exhibits

  • Hands-on workshops and demonstrations on composting, recycling, and renewable energy

  • DIY workshops and creative sustainability projects

Vendor Village:

  • 35 nonprofit organizations sharing their missions, offering educational resources, and engaging activities

  • 8 eco-conscious vendors providing sustainable products and services

Activity Tents:

  • Indigo Dye Station with Align the Fibers – Explore natural dyeing techniques

  • Face Painting with Hue Dat Face Painting– Eco-friendly designs for all ages

  • Succulent Planting with STUMP – Use upcycled containers to plant your own take-home succulent

Community Drop-Off Stations: Bring your items to responsibly dispose or repurpose:

  • Glass containers with ABC Waste

  • Eyeglasses and contact lens cases with ForSight Unique Eye Care & Eye Wear

  • Electronics with PayMore

  • Sneakers with Lite Foot Company

Repair Tent: Keep items out of the landfill and learn useful repair skills:

  • Clothing Repair – Mending and simple fixes

  • Stain Cover with Block Prints – Hosted by Little Tiger Studios

  • Bike Repair – With Savannah on Wheels: flat fixes, brake and handlebar adjustments, and seat tuning

By bringing together the Savannah community, Earth Day Savannah aims to raise awareness and inspire action toward a more sustainable future. Together, with our partners and participants, we’re working to make the concept of “Everyday Earth Day” a tangible reality.
