Earth Day Savannah 2026:

Earth Day Savannah is an annual community celebration dedicated to environmental sustainability and conservation in the Coastal Empire. Each year, individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and local leaders come together to share ideas, resources, and actions that help protect our planet and promote more sustainable ways of living.

Our goal is not only to celebrate Earth Day, but to inspire lasting change. We believe environmental responsibility should extend far beyond a single day and become part of everyday life. By encouraging simple, eco-friendly choices and community-wide collaboration, Earth Day Savannah helps foster a culture of sustainability—where collective action, education, and mindful decisions lead to a healthier, more resilient future for all.

Become a Volunteer

Volunteering for your local Earth Day event is a great way to make a positive impact on the environment and your community. By giving your time and energy, you can help support and promote environmental initiatives, raise awareness about environmental issues, and inspire others to take action. Volunteering for Earth Day also provides an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, gain new skills, and contribute to a meaningful cause. Whether you help with event setup, assist with educational activities, or provide support during the event, your contribution can make a difference and help create a more sustainable future for all.

What you can expect at this year’s event:

Activities & Experiences:

  • Educational and interactive exhibits

  • Hands-on workshops and demonstrations on composting, recycling, and renewable energy

  • DIY workshops and creative sustainability projects

  • Electric Vehicle Car Show.

Vendor Village:

  • 50 nonprofit organizations sharing their missions, offering educational resources, and engaging activities

  • 15 eco-conscious vendors providing sustainable products and services

Activity Tents:

  • Indigo Dye Station with – Explore natural dyeing techniques

  • Face Painting with Eco-friendly designs for all ages

  • Succulent Planting – Use upcycled containers to plant your own take-home succulent

Community Drop-Off Stations: Bring your items to responsibly dispose or repurpose:

  • Glass containers with ABC Waste

  • Eyeglasses and contact lens cases with ForSight Unique Eye Care & Eye Wear

  • Electronics with PayMore

Repair Tent: Keep items out of the landfill and learn useful repair skills:

  • Clothing Repair – Mending and simple fixes

  • Stain Cover with Block Prints – Hosted by Little Tiger Studios

  • Bike Repair – With Bike Club Savannat- flat fixes, brake and handlebar adjustments, and seat tuning

By bringing together the Savannah community, Earth Day Savannah aims to raise awareness and inspire action toward a more sustainable future. Together, with our partners and participants, we’re working to make the concept of “Everyday Earth Day” a tangible reality.
