Our Closed Loop Water Bottle Program will immediately impact the environmental health of our community.

The Closed Loop aluminum bottle program originated from our passion for reducing plastic waste in our community. It all began with a refillery, Lite Foot Company, where we implemented a reuse system that allowed people to obtain all their household supplies without the need for plastic bottles. Seeing the overwhelming community support for this initiative, we realized there was a shared desire for sustainable solutions. Inspired by this, we decided to tackle one of the biggest sources of plastic waste: single-use water bottles.

Our program introduces a sustainable alternative by replacing single-use plastic water bottles with durable, reusable aluminum bottles designed for repeated use. Through our closed-loop system, each bottle remains within a continuous cycle of use, collection, cleaning, and repurposing, minimizing environmental impact. We are partnering with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to distribute these bottles and promote a culture of reuse. Our goal is to empower the community to make environmentally friendly choices and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.

  • The Closed-Loop Water Bottle Program is a sustainable water distribution system that eliminates single-use plastic bottles. Customers purchase ultra-filtered water in reusable aluminum bottles, then return them for sanitization, refilling, and redistribution. The same bottle is used again and again—reducing waste and environmental impact.

    1. Purchase an aluminum bottle filled with ultra-filtered water from a participating location.

    2. Once you’re finished, drop it into a designated return bin.

    3. Lite Foot collects the bottles, sanitizes and refills them, and returns them to local businesses for reuse.

  •  Our bottles will be available at cafés, shops, restaurants, markets, and community events throughout Savannah. A list of participating locations will be posted soon.

  • Typically, bottles range from $3 to $5, depending on size and retail location. That includes the cost of the water and a high-quality, reusable aluminum bottle.

  • We will start with one standard bottle. Eventually, we will be able to offer fully customizable aluminum bottles for businesses, venues, or special events. Customization is available for an additional fee.

  • We will start with 19 oz  aluminum bottles and eventually offer 12oz.

  • Absolutely. All returned bottles are collected by Lite Foot, then undergo a certified sanitization process before being refilled and sealed. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities.
